Traditionally, an atlas is a collection of clinical photographs covering the breadth of clinical syndromes with a brief identification of each condition. Thus, an atlas of clinical eye conditions makes its way into the library of every student, resident, and practitioner. In addition, many of us have also struggled with the burden of clinical slides on board examinations. Clinical eye care is a very visual process and recognizing the pattern of clinical findings is the key to most diagnoses. In these cases, just one good look is often the key to making the correct diagnosis.
